Born and raised in Northern Ontario, I pursued my undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. Following this, I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. Currently, I am in the final stages of completing a professional MBA at Carleton University.
With several years of experience as a successful business owner, I transitioned into interdisciplinary care, dedicating over a decade to leading healthcare teams focused on providing patient-centric care and facilitating the return to function.Â
Most recently, I have taken on a leadership role at a community hospital, where I lead diverse teams with the goal of enhancing the patient experience and contributing to organizational initiatives.Â
My ongoing goal is to continue offering assessment services and custom orthotic devices in Northern and Eastern Ontario, leveraging my extensive experience and education to improve patient outcomes.
What are Custom Orthotic Devices?
Custom orthotic devices are tailored specifically to your unique foot structure and biomechanics, providing optimal support and alignment. Though not all patients respond the same way, they can help alleviate pain in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back by correcting abnormal walking patterns and distributing pressure more evenly. Custom orthotics can be fabricated using different materials to enhance comfort, including soft and firm options, varying thicknesses and individualized specifications. With different styles and colors available, they can suit every need and preference.
Custom orthotic devices can be used and interchanged between various footwear options, making them a versatile solution for improving comfort, reducing the risk of injuries, and enhancing overall well-being during daily activities and athletic performance. Whether you have a specific medical condition or simply want to improve your comfort, custom orthotics offer a personalized and effective solution.
What to Expect
Your First Visit
My goal is simple—convenience and a patient-centric approach. I travel to you—whether at home, work, the gym, or any location that suits you. You can expect a complete and thorough chiropractic examination, including a detailed history and physical and biomechanical assessment. During the assessment, we will discuss your past injury history, prior orthotic use, and preferences for orthotic inserts. The entire assessment will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
You are under no obligation to order orthotics following the assessment; you should feel comfortable asking questions and deciding the best approach for you. If you decide to order custom orthotics, the typical manufacturing time is 2 weeks. Once ready, we will meet again to fit your orthotics into your favourite footwear, review wear instructions and warranty information and complete the necessary paperwork.
Pricing & Insurance
If you have insurance coverage, the chiropractic assessment and follow-up can generally be submitted under chiropractic services, while orthotics are submitted under orthotics or orthotic devices. It is the responsibility of each individual patient to confirm their insurance benefits coverage.
All appropriate documentation and receipts will be provided upon delivery and payment. Payment is due on delivery.
We accept payment methods, including cash, cheque, or electronic funds transfer.
